Happiness : )

Is it really what we think it is?

Happiness – it's a word that carries immense weight and significance in our lives. It's something we all strive for, chase after, and believe will bring us fulfillment.

“But have you ever stopped to ponder if this happiness is really what we think it is?”

In a world filled with social media highlights, carefully curated images of joy, and societal expectations, our perception of happiness can often become distorted. We associate happiness with achievements, material possessions, or external validation, assuming that they hold the key to our contentment. But is that truly the case?

We think of other's perspectives, live by it and govern our happiness through it. But I doubt that's what it truely is? We all are suffering from this disease, leave it, who am I to diagnose you all, I'm atleast suffering from it. And there's no clear antidote for it or at least not with me :(

If not perspective, let's take a mere reflection on our lifes and let's question “What is Happiness?”

Is it merely the absence of sadness or a constant state of euphoria? Or is it something deeper, more profound, and intricately woven into the fabric of our daily lives or as I refered above just an obsession of other's perspective on our life?

“A journey of exploration, it's not a destination to reach or a trophy to be won. Rather it's a dynamic and ever-evolving experience that transcends fleeting moments of pleasure.”

A friend of mine explained it, not her exact words though

So, happiness resides in the present moment, in finding meaning and purpose in our actions, and in cultivating a sense of contentment within ourselves.

Well, it does sounds pretty good while reading or even while witing. But reality is far-far far stretched from it or at least most of the time.

I agree with her explaination, but it's not something that can be achieved in the real world all the time. The external circumstances will undoubtedly impact the well-being!

But if I rephrase her explaination as “true happiness emanates from within”, there should not be any sadness in around the world. Because even in physical pain if one emanates happiness from within, he/she will be happy!?

The ideation of this to be true is a too much of stretch in today's world of instant gratification and social-external validation. We've reached a level where embracing our unqiue journey and honoring our authentic selves has became almost impossible, and which is why it's far more impossible to achieve that true happiness.

In conclusion, the true happiness goes beyond the superficial facade and societal expectations, in today's world. It's a deeply personal journey of self-discover, self-acceptance and aligning our actions with our values, without indulging with the social perspectives on things, and embracing the full spectrum of human emotions and finding contentment in the present moment.

This has gone a full on superficial psychological mode, but it's the moment of realization that struck you sometimes and you went in the flow. So, that's it for tonight – Goodbye 👋
